A new website is out there for all you online fashionistas who feel Philly's fashion culture just doesnt have enough to buy. Blaec.com, pronounced as "black" is intended to push up and coming, trendy new designers to those who don't have access to Parisian and New York Soho boutiques.
When you click on a designer on the left hand side of this "black and white" website, not only do the clothes for sale appear but also a bio of the designer.
Somewhat of an online museum exhibit, this site does even more than just educate and mesmerize the fashion obsessed.
It is also inspiring up and coming designers to themselves bring their designs into the online fashion culture.
Collection 1.0 is a new designer contest this site advertises where eight finalists will have the chance to display thier own unique designs on the website.
The site is advertised on www.popsugar.com and features designers Anna Sui, Catherine Maladrino and lesser known designers, such as Rachel Pally and Linea Pelle.
